Green DOCutivity

Our Green DOCutivity, G-doc, concept is channelling our all sustainable technologies’ expertise into genuine, realisable performance gains and cost savings for your business. Lanier can help you drive reductions in your use of energy and resources. For a decade, Lanier has engaged in tough environmental sustainability management to fully comply with multi-national environmental legislations. If fact Lanier’s long-term environmental actions will continue to over-achieve compliance at Australian and global levels.

G-doc makes your company leaner and much greener!

You can monitor aspects of fleet usage through highly detailed and easy to understand device reports, and review device population, volumes, usage trends by vendor, and network segment or device level.

reduce the resource use save up to 87% on your print energy consumption Paper reduction

Paper production consumes a lot of energy. Lanier believes that saving paper is critical to conserving energy and costs. So we incorporate fast and easy-to-use duplex technologies and multi-page printing choices into our popular devices. Increased double-sided printing, and multiple pages printed onto just one page is saving paper and time. In addition, Lanier devices can simultaneously scan both sides of originals, reducing time and energy needed to produce duplex documents.

Energy efficiency

Lanier has developed a series of printing technologies that help to reduce power consumption, while upholding a high level of performance and user-friendliness. This ensures that our customers are more inclined to benefit from these features and achieve up to 87% energy savings.

Quick Start Up (QSU)

Introduced in 2001, this award-winning technology minimises the time needed for a printer to ‘wake up’ to full readiness and has now evolved to include all Lanier colour devices.

PxP™ toner

Made from a newly developed polymerised resin, PxP™ colour toner is designed to fuse at 20°C lower than its predecessor, whilst achieving higher picture quality. Importantly, Lanier uses less resources and energy in manufacturing PxP™ toner – a win-win in further reducing waste.

recycle your office equipment, toner cartridges and replacement parts to minimise your waste going to landfill.

Lanier’s machines are designed to minimise their ‘whole of life’ environmental impact. Targets are set to reduce all environmental impact of our products. Regular checking on the impact on material sourcing, manufacturing, transportation, customer use and disposal of machines provides invaluable data for the designs of future models.

Lifecycle solutions - another ecological win-win

Most companies only look at the end-of-life recycling solutions. Lanier however approach environmental sustainability from the very beginning of product design and development. Not only do our products last longer - they are easily recyclable at every stage of their product life. In 2009, Australian e-waste is growing at more than three times the rate of general municipal waste. Lanier offers true ‘end of life’ machine recycling services, dismantling and re-using all materials to ensure a 95% reduction of landfill hard waste.

Recycle - the FREE Lanier cartridge take back program

100% ZERO waste to landfill outcome. Lanier recover and recycle used imaging bottles, cartridges, PCUs and drums from ALL Lanier printers, faxes and photocopiers. It’s quick and easy too, with all customers supplied with free collection boxes and asked to contact recyclers when the box is full. All cartridges return to the ‘Close the Loop’ factory for sorting, recycling and recovery of raw materials. Our partnership with Close the Loop developed a unique recycling system with patented technologies, delivering valuable landfill reduction opportunities to you, as well as audited Certificate of Safe Destruction.

The National Packaging Covenant

Lanier became a signatory to the National Packaging Covenant (NPC) in 2007. The NPC was created in 1999 to assist industry to reduce the impact of packaging waste going to landfill, through objectives such as; better packaging design and increased reduction, re-use and recycling of packaging. Lanier has a detailed action plan that combines the elements of Product Stewardship, the Environmental Code of Practice for packaging and Lanier’s environmental mission statement to deliver on the goals of the NPC. save on wastage and CO2 by measuring and monitoring your device usage patterns, implementing a greener solution.

Over 180 countries have signed or ratified the United Nations’ Kyoto Protocol treaty, to reduce their greenhouse gases and carbon emissions. Lanier is working towards offsetting the emissions associated with the use of our energy efficient multifunctional devices and printers. In time, this will channel savings and carbon credits directly to your business and reduce exposure to carbon pricing.

@Remote Green Report

Using Lanier’s @Remote Green Report, you can proactively manage and monitor your fleet of print devices – and now this remote monitoring system can help determine your environmental impact. By analysing the @Remote device near real-time data, such as how many pages have been saved by double sided printing and also the amount of power used on the managed devices, the @Remote Green Report shows:

  • Equivalent CO2 emissions and Carbon footprint of the managed Lanier fleet
  • Print and Copy Volumes
  • Costs of resources being used
